Delicious Drinks for Cozy Winter eavnings!

Hey Sweeties!

Long weekend and Cozy winter eavnings are here!

Its time to curl up in warm blanket front of fireplace and relax. In this post I want to share some Delicious, Healthy and Christmasy drinks, what to enjoy in these Beautiful days.

Honey-Ginger Tea

*1 (1-inch) piece Fresh Ginger, peeled *1 regular-size Green Tea Bag *1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice *2 tablespoons Honey *1 cup boiling Water

Grate ginger, using the large holes of a box grater, to equal 1 Tbsp. Squeeze juice from ginger into a teacup; discard solids. Place tea bag, lemon juice, and honey in teacup; add boiling water. Cover and steep 3 minutes. Remove and discard tea bag, squeezing gently.

Black Apple Tea

*1  Sweet, Crisp Apple *2 tablespoons Lemon Juice *1 teaspoon Honey *1/2 cup Black Tea *15 wholes Cloves

Preheat oven to 200°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Fill a medium bowl with ice, water, and lemon juice and set aside. Slice the apple into 1/16-inch-thick slices and let soak in the water bath for 5 minutes. Place apple slices on prepared baking sheet and bake until crisp and dry — about 90 minutes.  Combine the tea, cloves, and apples in a small bowl, transfer to an airtight container, and store for up to 6 months.

Mulled Wine (Alcohol free)

*1 l Water  *150 g Brown Sugar *2 Orange (Peels) *8 whole Cloves *1 teaspoon Cardamom *2 pieces Cinnamon sticks

Combine all ingredients and heat on low heat for 30 minutes.

Spiced Warm Cider

*1/2 gallons Apple Cider *1/3 cup Dark Brown Sugar *2 sticks Cinnamon *5  Whole Allspice Berries *1  Fresh Ginger, peeled *3  whole Cloves *8 slices Orange

In a  saucepan combine cider, sugar, cinnamon sticks, allspice berries, ginger, and cloves. Heat to a simmer and allow to cook 20 minutes. Strain into a punch bowl and garnish with orange slices. Serve warm.

Gingerbread Cocoa

*2 teaspoons Honey *1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa *2 teaspoons Apple Pie Spice *1 1/2 teaspoons ground Ginger * Low Fat Milk or Soy Milk *(Garnish)Sugar Free Marshmallows

Whisk together first 4 ingredients. Gradually whisk in milk. Cook mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Slow cook, and keep warm on low. Garnish, if desired.

White Spiced Coffee

*3 cups Non-Fat or Soy Milk *1 cup Whole Organic Coffee Beans, lightly cracked *1 1/2 stick Cinnamon Sticks *4 wholes Green Cardamom Pods *1/4 cup Honey

Place the milk and crushed coffee beans in a saucepan. Heat the mixture to a simmer over medium-high heat, about 7 minutes. Immediately remove from the heat and let the beans steep in the milk for 15 minutes. Strain the coffee mixture and transfer to the jar of a blender. Discard the crushed coffee beans. Add the cinnamon sticks, cardamom, and honey to the steeped milk and blend on high speed until the spices are coarsely ground, about 30 seconds. Strain the liquid back into the saucepan and discard the ground spices. Rewarm the spiced coffee over medium-high heat until the liquid is hot and steaming. Pour into warmed coffee mugs, and serve hot.

Thick and Rich Hot Cocoa

*2 1/4 cups Non Fat or Soy Milk *1/2 cup unsweetened Cocoa Powder *1/4 cup Brown Sugar *1 1/2 tablespoons Cornstarch

Combine milk, cocoa, sugar and cornstarch in a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat, whisking often, until steaming. Continue to cook, whisking constantly, until it comes to a boil, then remove from the heat.

Spiced Hot Chocolate

*3 cups unsweetened Cocoa with * Non Fat Milk *1/2 teaspoon freshly grated Nutmeg *1/2 teaspoon Chili Powder *4 Cinnamon sticks

Combine cocoa, nutmeg and chili powder. Pour into mugs and serve with a cinnamon stick.

Hot Chocolate

*1 tablespoon Brown Sugar *4 teaspoons unsweetened Cocoa Powder *1 cup Non Fat or Soy milk *1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract *pinch of Ground Cinnamon

Mix sugar, cocoa and 2 tablespoons cold milk in a mug until smooth. Heat the remaining milk in a small saucepan on the stovetop. Stir in the cocoa mixture and vanilla. To froth the hot chocolate, whirl a whisk in it by rubbing your hands back and forth. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Dattel Milkshake

*10 pieces soft dried Dattel *4 dl Non Fat or Soy Milk *1 teaspoon Cinnamon

Put dattles and milk in to the blender and blend until its puree. Add Cinnamon and blend again.

Spiced Rice Milk Drink
Rice milk- *1/2 cup brown rice *4 cups water
Spiced rice milk drink- *5-10 Cardamom pods *1 Cinnamon stick *Fresh Ginger *5 Cloves *1 tsp Natural Vanilla Extract *raw Honey
*Start this recipe by making the rice milk up to 2,5 hours before. This recipe  makes about 1 litre of milk, consume the milk within 2 days.Place the brown rice and water in a saucepan. Bring to boil and let simmer for 30-40 minutes or until the rice is very soft. Place the cooked rice along with the water into a food processor and blitz until very smooth and creamy. Let the mixture to stand for 45-60 minutes, then drain through a fine sieve or a muslin. (I had the left-over rice with umeboshi paste and it was delicious!) To make the spiced rice milk drink place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let sit, covered, for about 10-15 minutes. Drain off the spices and sweeten with raw honey, if you wish. Enjoy warm.

Ginger Pumpkin Kefir
*1 cup Coconut/Goat Kefir or Plain Yogurt *1 cup Fresh Pumpkin Puree *1/2 cup Ice cubes *Fresh peeled Ginger *2 tbsp Yacon/Maple Syrup or 1 Banana
Blend everything in your blender till smooth and creamy.
Taste of Winter
Use these flavours as much you want
*Cinnamon * Pure Vanilla Extract *Ground Nutmeg *Ground Clove *Ginger *Honey *Cocoa *Cardamom
Dont forget to enjoy some Delicious Healthy Winter snacks like Dried Fruits and Nuts (there are so many necessary Vitamins and Natural oils for you body)
